‘Soulmate’ is the Revolver Records debut from Ted Taforo, and is the title track preceding his next album. Inspired by attending the Korean restaurant, ‘Sun Nong Dan’ in Los Angeles with his partner, Baolu, Taforo wrote the initial loop and simply couldn’t turn it off, playing it for several hours in his house. This brought him to explore putting this track and a number of other’s he’d written for Baolu together.

‘Soulmate’ is a romantic, funk love letter to Baolu as well as a meditation on the importance of self-love. The album, and specifically the title track is a celebration of his new life after becoming sober. A celebration that’s joy transcends making this the must-listen Jazz bop of the summer!
