Revolver has provided many stepping stones for new artists, including Brummie Jazz musician Alvin Davis. Before signing to Sony, he released his debut album with us in 1992 - and now everybody has an opportunity to appreciate his dynamic, exciting style once again.

Alvin has also supported the likes of Andy Hamilton, Edwin Starr, Neville Staples of Specials & Fun Boy Three, Alton Ellis, Jackie Graham, Nigel Kennedy and David Hinds of Steel Pulse. His debut album 'Let It Blow' took Alvin around the world, with the album reaching number 4 on the American R&R chart. The follow up 'Let The Vibes Decide' (Ripe Recordings 1994), did even better for Alvin, selling over 10,000 copies pre-release and peaking at number 3 in the USA.

Alvin's third album, 'Take Flight' (Hornblower / Teklife 1999), was written, recorded and produced for his own Hornblower Productions, and as of late 2007, he has just released his latest album, 'Commotion'.
